Role OverviewWe are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Team. The Mechanical Engineer will work with more experienced engineering team members on sustaining and new product innovation, the cornerstone of Harmar’s accelerated growth plans.

Responsible for devising and effectively implementing a development methodology that ensures superior mobility products while also fostering and rewarding innovation and creativity within the engineering department.

Requirements
- Ability to conceptualize new designs then follow through to completion
- Developing the mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for lift products
- Evaluating and optimizing product concepts for function, manufacturability, packaging, and material handling
- Reviewing and approving finalized engineering product drawings
- Generating product prototypes and performing product testing
- Developing and evaluating cost analysis for new and modified product concepts
- Working on special projects assigned such as evaluating competitive product and new processes
- Providing support for our Technical Service team to solve mechanical and electromechanical product quality problems
- Meeting safety compliance requirements and coordinating product compliance testing
- Working on selection and standardization of key components
- Maintaining engineering documentation in PDM system
- Planning and developing test plans and coordinating with internal testing resources
- Analyzing data to determine feasibility of product proposals
- Analyzing test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
