Role OverviewFirefly Aerospace is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to develop state-of-the-art mechanical separation and interfacing systems throughout the product life cycle. The successful candidate will be part of a highly skilled, dynamic team that will involve them in all aspects of analysis, design, fabrication, and testing.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include participating in the entire hardware lifecycle for various moving mechanical assemblies and structures, developing and scrubbing requirements, supporting configuration development and trade studies, and demonstrating compliance with NASA, Space Force, or other relevant launch jurisdiction standards.

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering and 8+ years of demonstrated professional experience in aerospace or related mechanical engineering fields.
