Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for design and development of mechanical systems through the Detailed Engineering phase, and will contribute to timely resolution of mechanical design challenges and address risks.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or alternate degree in a related field
  • PE Certification, or eligible to obtain a PE Certification
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience in the design of mechanical systems, preferably within the nuclear industry
  • Demonstrated success in project delivery and the execution of mechanical design methods
  • Expert or working knowledge of nuclear pressure boundary codes including ASME Section III Division 1, CSA N285.0 and ASME B31.1
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
