Job Description
At HDR, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team in our Charleston office. The individual will be responsible for designing mechanical systems for highly integrated facilities and performing load calculations, static pressure calculations, pump head calculations, and energy analysis.

Requirements

  • Designing mechanical systems for highly integrated facilities
  • Performing load calculations, static pressure calculations, pump head calculations, and energy analysis
  • Developing mechanical specifications, 3D BIM modeling of systems, and mechanical equipment schedules
  • Working independently with minor guidance on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects
  • Performing field investigation and mechanical inspection for projects
  • Working with the team or outside of the team to complete mechanical system designs for more complex projects
