Role OverviewThe Mechanical General Foreman supervises pipefitting and structural installation in an industrial oil field setting, overseeing crews and ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety. They manage projects and work crews, interacting with site foreman and client representatives.
What You Will Do
Conduct toolbox and safety meetings, conduct regular inspections of crews' work, prepare daily timesheets, and assist foreman with training new crew members. Organize and plan work weekly and daily to ensure crews are productive and safe.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability in supervising and leading others, be proficient with hand and power tools, and have experience with lifting and setting of heavy lift modules. They will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work a minimum 12-hour shift daily.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 7 years minimum experience working as pipefitter or structural craft hand in an oil field industrial setting
- 5 years minimum experience in a supervisory or lead role
- Current and valid driver's license, with clean driving record
