Role OverviewThe Mechanical Maintenance Planner serves in an advisory capacity to support and coordinate the Asset Reliability Maintenance Management for scheduled and project maintenance to improve equipment reliability. This position does not have direct reports but will facilitate down-days and outages by establishing planned work with operations, maintenance, reliability, and engineering.
What You Will Do
Provide coordination, direction, and support for implementing and sustaining Asset Reliability Processes (ARP) to improve safety, equipment reliability, and product quality at optimum efficiency and costs. Coordinate and manage work order backlog for area of responsibility, facilitate Down Day and Outage planning meetings, and develop maintenance plans and schedule approved non-emergency-based work plans.

Requirements
- Two-year degree/advanced technical training with at least 3 years' experience at a Master level discipline OR GED/HS Diploma with 5-7 years of on-the-job heavy industrial mechanical experience.
- Master level knowledge of heavy manufacturing or other related maintenance engineering activities.
- Extensive working knowledge of maintenance concepts and techniques.
- Demonstrated expertise in asset reliability technology and systems as well as experience using CMMS (SAP ERP preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to perform and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimum supervision.
- Broad knowledge of computer software applications.
