Job Description
Big-D Construction is looking for a dynamic Mechanical Superintendent - Mission Critical to join their team based in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or 7-10 years of related experience working on Mission Critical commercial construction projects. The role involves providing direction and leadership on MEP scope(s) on data center projects, managing safety, quality, schedule, production, logistics, and coordination, and representing the company in meetings and interfaces with all project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 7-10 years of related experience
  • Extensive knowledge of established construction practices, procedures, and techniques
  • Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and tools
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and sequencing, and cost control
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with project team, customers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and employees
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage teams
  • Ability to read, understand, and red-line work orders, budget, change orders, safety standards, plans specifications, shop drawings, submittals, manufacturer's literature
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, memos, blue prints, contract documents and specifications, and CPM schedules
