Role OverviewThe Mechatronics Intern will support the Robotics team in building, assembling, and testing mechanical and electrical components. The intern will work hands-on with parts, tools, wiring, and hardware to turn designs and build instructions into working products.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include soldering components onto circuit boards, cutting and routing wires and cables, cutting and preparing materials, assembling mechanical and electrical components, performing basic testing and inspection, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Why It Might Be a Fit
To be successful in the role, the intern should have basic soldering experience, be comfortable using hand tools, and be able to read and follow basic electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree or program in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- Basic soldering experience through coursework, hobby projects, robotics clubs, or similar activities
- Comfortable using hand tools and willing to learn how to safely operate power tools
- Able to read and follow basic electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and build instructions
- Detail-oriented, patient, hands-on, and willing to learn
