Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of heavy equipment, such as trucks, cranes, excavators, and other large machinery. This position includes both preventive maintenance and emergency repairs, both in the field and in the workshop, ensuring that the equipment is kept in optimal operating condition.

Requirements

  • Conduct thorough inspections of heavy equipment (trucks, cranes, construction equipment) to identify potential problems.
  • Use advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to evaluate and locate mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical problems.
  • Repair main components of equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other critical parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, brake services, fluid reviews, filter replacements, and lubrication, to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
  • Travel to work sites as needed to provide on-site diagnosis and repairs.
  • Work both in the field and in the workshop, depending on job requirements and equipment condition.
  • Analyze and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems, implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics or supervisors to resolve difficult or unusual technical problems.
  • Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations when working with heavy equipment, tools, and hazardous materials.
  • Ensure that all repairs and maintenance are performed in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance, parts used, and work performed on each service.
  • Provide detailed reports to supervisors and clients on equipment condition, repairs made, and recommendations for future maintenance.
  • Use diagnostic tools and repair equipment effectively, keeping them in excellent condition.
  • Report promptly to management about damaged, missing, or defective equipment for replacement or repair.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies, machinery, and diagnostic methods in the heavy equipment industry.
  • Participate in relevant training programs, certifications, and workshops to improve skills and knowledge.
