Role Overview

The Medical Assistant will greet patients, schedule appointments, collect personal information, take vital signs, and assist practitioners with treatment. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a non-judgmental attitude toward the Substance Use Disorder population.

What You Will Do

Schedules intake appointments, records patient information, prepares medical records, assists with patient intakes, obtains blood specimens, collects non-blood specimens, prepares treatment rooms, and performs secretarial duties.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal skills, a working knowledge of MS Office and patient management software, and 1-2 years of prior healthcare experience in a similar field and environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum age requirement of 18
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and patient management software
  • Ability to establish a positive rapport with patients
  • 1-2 years of prior healthcare experience in a similar field and environment
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
