Role OverviewThe Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for assisting physicians, PA, or NP with clerical duties, patient flow, patient care, and procedures. The role requires physical mobility, agility, and dexterity, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
What You Will Do
Prepares examination rooms, escorts patients, cleans rooms, maintains patient flow, and prepares pertinent information for patient visits. Assists with ordering and maintaining supplies, reconciles encounters, and communicates problems to supervisors.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a high school graduate or equivalent, medical assistant certification, and basic life support certification. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 year of related work experience and be able to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
Requirements
- High School Graduate/GED / Equivalent Work or Vocational / Technical School / Diploma
- Medical Assistant certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Basic proficiency in computer use
