Role OverviewPlanned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced and caring Medical Assistant I to work full-time at our Carson Health Center. This is an intermediate level position responsible for all supporting functions in the delivery of reproductive health care service.
What You Will Do
Assist patients by providing testing, screening, and education required for the provision of medical reproductive health care. Perform all Medical Assistant front and back office functions.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Ideal candidate will have at least one to two years of experience in a clinical setting, with a high school diploma or GED, and a Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate. Knowledge of surgical services and reproductive health care experience is desirable.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- At least one to two years of experience in a clinical setting
- Availability to work flexible hours including Saturdays
- Venipuncture and Injection training
