Role OverviewThe Medical Assistant for the Plastics service line is responsible for coordinating and scheduling tests ordered by surgeons, providing patients with clear instructions for pre-surgical and pre-test preparation, and accurately recording facility-based charges.
What You Will Do
Perform patient triage, obtain and record vital signs, assist providers with exams, provide patient education, manage patient scheduling, collect and process lab specimens, and handle patient and pharmacy calls.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of Medical Assistant Training Program or 6-months recent Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare setting
- BLS certification
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements for safe handling of blood and body fluids
- Skill in computer applications
- Skill in verbal and written communication
- Skill in gathering and reporting information
- Exceptional Skill in customer service
