Role OverviewWe are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in Sharon Hill, Delaware County - PA. This role is first shift, Monday - Friday 8:00a - 4:00p. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for obtaining physical health measure information from individuals upon admission to Merakey's Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) and supporting psychiatry staff.
What You Will Do
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing support to Psychiatrists, Physicians, and Medical Directors on a daily basis, completing data entry into Avatar, Merakey's Electronic Health Record (EHR), and supporting psychiatry staff.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will possess a Medical Assistant Certificate, high school diploma or G.E.D., and minimum 1 year of experience working as a medical assistant, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistant Certificate
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a medical assistant
- Computer knowledge, including Electronic Health Record (EHR) and data entry experience
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent organization and written and verbal communication skills
- Quality documentation and record-keeping skills
- Ability to effectively meet competing priorities within expected timeframes
- Certification as a phlebotomist preferred
