Role Overview

We are seeking a team-oriented Medical Assistant to join our clinic in Orchard Park, NY. As the Medical Assistant, your primary responsibility is to prepare charts for upcoming patient appointments, obtain vitals, patient intake as directed, and to assist the providers during office hours so that patients are treated in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include chart prep, timely and accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), assisting surgeons in mini OR with minor surgical procedures, maintaining confidentiality of all current and former patients/charts, and providing patient with orders, education and medication instructions as directed by Provider.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited clinical medical assistant education program or phlebotomy program
  • Certified MA, Registered MA or Certified Phlebotomist preferred
  • 1 year prior Medical Assistant experience (will consider new graduate with CCMA certification)
  • BLS required
