Role OverviewSpero Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team in Cookeville, TN. The Medical Assistant will support the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” in an integrated team with patients receiving counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment.
What You Will Do
The Medical Assistant responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments, answering in-coming calls, checking voice messages, checking patients in/out, monitoring patient flow, performing urine drug screens, taking vitals, assisting with patient evaluations, calling in patient medication, inputting accurate patient information into electronic health record, sending prior-authorizations to insurance companies, performing daily financial summary and balance of payments received, and reviewing the Prescription Monitoring Database.

Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assisting
- 1-3 years as a Medical Assistant (or similar type role)
- Phlebotomy and lab experience
- Experience with injections
- CPR certification
