Role OverviewThe Medical Assistant assists physicians in assessing, examining, and treating patients, managing patient flow, and performing diagnostic procedures. They act as a liaison to ensure patient satisfaction and maintain supplies for their area.
What You Will Do
Perform and document vital signs, clinical care quality measures, and medical history information. Assist physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures, and may perform EKGs and venipuncture/injections.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Excellent communication and organizational skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and familiarity with medical office procedures are required. Experience in a physician office or other healthcare setting is preferred.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
