Job Description
Medical Assistant (OB/GYN) position at Austin Regional Clinic. Assists with direct patient care duties, including patient call backs and refill requests. Must have high school diploma or equivalent and medical assistant experience or comparable experience.

Requirements

  • Rooms patients
  • Takes and documents vital signs
  • Administers medication under physician's direction
  • Performs diagnostic testing
  • Reviews provider refill in basket
  • Reviews EPIC triage call in basket
  • Reviews result note in basket
  • Ensures rooms are properly stocked
  • Cleans patient rooms
  • Follows directions given by nursing team leader or supervisor
  • Follows clinic protocols
  • Provides patients with educational materials
  • Adheres to all company policies
  • Works holiday shift(s) as required by Company policy
  • Answers incoming phone calls
  • Posts patient test results through patient's mychart portal
  • Refills medication following the ARC refill protocols
  • Assists providers with procedures
  • Maintains equipment
