Job Description
The Medical Assisting Instructor provides instruction in Medical Assisting to develop individuals' skills and competencies. The instructor is responsible for delivering in-person classroom instruction, providing academic advising and career counseling, and supporting program and institutional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Provide extensive orientation to incoming students
  • Lecture students daily in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and computer software applications
  • Prepare curriculum and update instructional materials
  • Provide group/individual student advising
  • Participate in program and student outcomes assessment
  • Utilize technology and equipment as appropriate
  • Evaluate student performance and turn in grade reports
  • Actively work to maintain retention in all classes taught
