Job Description
Role Overview

As a Medical Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials. You will operate a company-owned vehicle and use a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle. You will also be expected to load and unload company vehicles, conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections, and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include driving a company vehicle, transporting medical supplies and specimens, operating a hand-held scanning device, and maintaining a clean and orderly vehicle. You will also be expected to load and unload company vehicles and conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Must be 19 years of age with an active driver's license for 3 years
  • Demonstrated dependability and reliability
  • Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
  • Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
  • Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
  • Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
  • Drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions
  • Must have an excellent driving history
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates
  • Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to lift items off storage racks
  • Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
