Role Overview

As a Medical Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials. You will operate a hand-held scanning device to track items, maintain a clean and neat vehicle, and demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior. You will work as part of a team to deliver health services and support our customers in healthcare environments.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include driving a company-owned vehicle, loading and unloading items, conducting pre/post-trip vehicle inspections, and maintaining a professional image to clients and the public. You will also be responsible for adapting to changing routes and client needs, and for building and nurturing a collaborative team culture.

Requirements

  • Must be 19 years of age with an active driver's license for 3 years
  • Demonstrated dependability and reliability
  • Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
  • Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
  • Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
  • Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
  • Drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions
  • Must have an excellent driving history
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates
  • Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to lift items off storage racks
  • Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
