Role Overview

The Medical Instructor provides students with extensive didactic and practical medical education and sustainment training. This training ensures medical skills sustainment for Pararescuemen (PJs) and Special Operations Independent Medical Technicians (SO-IDMTs) supporting Special Operations mission sets with enhanced trauma, surgical, and medical skills.

What You Will Do

Assist in the design of learning objectives and assessment instruments, conduct small and large group instruction, and utilize training simulation to include low-/high-fidelity mannequins and virtual reality devices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical procedures, trauma management, and surgical procedures, with experience in career fields such as Pararescue (PJ), Special Operations Combat Medic graduates (18D/68WW1), or Special Operations-Independent Medical Technician (SO-IDMT).

Requirements

  • NREMT Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) certification
  • AHA Basic Life Support Instructor (BLS-I) certification
  • AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor (ACLS-I) certification
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor (PALS-I) certification
  • Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) through NAEMT or DHA-JTS
  • Must have an active secret security clearance
