Role Overview

Provide essential assistance and comfort to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible experience during their healthcare journey. Work in a patient care support role with a team of professionals at DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan.

What You Will Do

Greet visitors, register patients, contact insurance providers, schedule patients, prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, assist with patient examinations, and perform various medical procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Graduation from a school of practical nursing, or completion of a PCA/PCT Program, Nurse Assistant Program, Medical Assistant Program, or six months of experience in a doctor's office or related area
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred
  • One year of previous experience performing Medical Assistant or Patient Care Associate duties, or one year of previous experience performing medical office clerical duties
