Role Overview

The Medical Staff Credentialing Manager will directly manage CVO or MSO staff, supervise credentialing staff, and evaluate problem applications. They will also assess systems, develop improved processes, and ensure compliance with credentialing guidelines and regulations.

The successful candidate will oversee correspondence, delegate tasks, and manage credentialing verification services. They will also develop departmental policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures related to credentialing operations and staff.

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of primary source verification processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission or NCQA regulations
  • Current knowledge and experience in credentialing and re-credentialing medical staff members in an acute care hospital
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or Health-related field
  • 4+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience in Medical Staff or Credentialing
  • 1+ year of leadership experience
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM)
