Requirements

• Productivity: Performs an acceptable productivity level without a significant error rate on a variety of medical technology procedures.
• Demonstrates initiative in adapting to changes or unusual circumstances.
• Assists in care and maintenance of laboratory work area and furnishings/equipment.
• Coordinates, plans, and utilizes time efficiently in an effort to prioritize and organize duties.
• Maintains and inventory of supplies in work areas as necessary.
• Quality control and instrument check procedures.
• Maintains accurate and complete records of daily activities.
• Observes and adheres to all departmental and hospital policies and procedures, and follows all safety, quality assurance, and infection control standards.
• Exhibits a professional manner, appearance, and performance in the approach to job related duties.
• Performs all patient care duties in a manner that demonstrates a humanistic attitude for the physical and psychological needs relevant to the age of the patient served.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with patients, physicians, pathologists, staff, and other individuals.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
