Job Description
Join Labcorp's Safety Testing Team in Indianapolis, IN as a Medical Technologist I. Perform clinical laboratory testing, resolve specimen discrepancies, and maintain instrumentation. Ensure quality control and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

  • Perform assigned clinical laboratory testing accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Resolve specimen discrepancies, document discrepancies, and notify laboratory management.
  • Prepare workstation and instrumentation for testing.
  • Operate instruments to perform testing according to established procedures.
  • Ensure the validity of test results through quality assurance and control procedures.
  • Reagents/Materials/Supplies: receive, open, and place in service reagents/materials according to SOPs.
  • Result Entry: manually enter data, perform peer review, and document prior to release of results.
  • Maintain instruments and equipment according to manufacturer and SOP requirements.
  • Comply with regulatory guidelines and Covance SOPs.
  • Maintain up-to-date training file and ensure training is documented prior to performing tasks.
  • Competently perform department duties as set forth in the department training checklist.
  • Contribute to the provision of accurate verbal or written response to internal QA and client audit findings.
