Job Description
Under general supervision, performs routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens, exercising independent judgment when evaluating the validity of test results prior to result reporting.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution; or equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined in CLIA regulations.
  • Certified as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), by the ASCP or equivalent certification is strongly preferred
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • One year of laboratory experience preferred.
