Requirements

• Accurately performs correct blood collection procedures
• Identifies patients and labels specimens correctly
• Processes, labels, and stores specimens appropriately
• Performs laboratory procedures and reports and evaluates test results
• Demonstrates awareness of and compliance with laboratory record keeping, test resulting and report handling policies
• Maintains confidentiality of patient care information
• Promotes positive morale and team work
• Participates in staff meetings, continuing education and mandatory in-services
• Complies with all safety and regulatory practices, policies, and procedures
