Role OverviewProvide quality member service to members and the community, serving as a member of the membership services staff. What You Will Do
Greet members and the community in a positive manner, offer tours of the facility, provide information about the YMCA and its benefits, and process membership applications and payments. Respond to customer complaints and maintain a neat and professional environment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have strong human relations skills, ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment, and knowledge of Microsoft Word. They will be able to work a flexible schedule, including a minimum of 3 shifts per week, and provide efficient and professional service to members and the community.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months previous experience in customer service
- Ability to read, interpret general documents, and follow written directions
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from members, community, and staff
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts and percentages
- Ability to count money and balance daily receipts
- Complete background check, child abuse prevention training, CPR/AED certification, and blood borne pathogens
