Role OverviewThe Member Solutions Specialist handles incoming telephone calls, conducts various member transactions, and provides service and information in a courteous and efficient manner. The role involves performing preliminary research, answering member questions, and resolving problems and complaints concerning member accounts. The Specialist must maintain knowledge of IRA's and process IRA transactions, as well as educate members on various delivery mechanisms available through the credit union.
What You Will Do
The day-to-day responsibilities of the Member Solutions Specialist include providing service and information to members, processing account verifications, ordering and updating ATM and check cards, and using effective communication and sales skills to identify member needs and offer credit union products. The Specialist will also process stop payments, member death notifications, and check card disputes, as well as assist members with payroll deduction forms and provide policy refund information.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have two years of financial institution sales experience and/or Call Center experience, or three years of non-financial institution sales experience and/or Call Center experience. The Specialist must possess excellent public speaking, verbal, and/or written communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality, interpret and adapt credit union/job/general guidelines, and work well under pressure.
