Job Description
Role Overview

Facilitates didactic, educational and unit/program community groups within the assigned treatment programs. Ensures patient safety by providing one-to-one supervision. Participates in treatment planning by working with interdisciplinary team to identify patients’ problems, needs and strengths.

What You Will Do

Orients new patients to unit, program and milieu by establishing a rapport with patients and families and making necessary introductions. Provides appropriate hand off information when accepting or receiving borders from other units.

Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision. Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology. Skills in teaching or assisting with activities of daily living.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a Behavioral Health related field
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a non-Behavioral Health related field, a minimum of one year of behavioral health experience
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Valid driver’s license
