Job Description
Role Overview

Under clinical supervision of a Licensed Therapist, the Mental Health Clinician conducts mental health assessments, provides direct mental health services to students, and participates in consultations with District personnel in support of the mental health needs of students in the general education setting.

What You Will Do

The Mental Health Clinician works in collaboration with private providers and public agencies to facilitate treatment and referrals, attends student progress meetings, and performs all related work and duties otherwise assigned as required.

Candidates must possess an Intern Registration Number with the California Board of Behavioral Science as an AMFT or APCC and hold an M.A. or M.S. in counseling or psychology. This role offers the opportunity to provide direct mental health services in a school setting under clinical supervision.

Requirements

  • Possession of an Intern Registration Number with the California Board of Behavioral Science as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC)
  • M.A. or M.S in counseling or psychology (Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Clinical Counseling)
