Role Overview

The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) is an independent contract position working early morning hours during the school week to provide services in the home setting to help students transition from home to school day.

What You Will Do

Provide 1 hour/day of services in the home setting before school hours to help students with emotional or behavioral needs, transfer coping skills and interventions to parents/caregivers, and may require transportation from the client's home to school.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited university in a mental health/human service study
  • 6 months work experience providing clinical therapy in an individual, family, or group format
  • Documented training and experience in positive behavior supports, team coordination, agency collaboration, applied and cognitive behavioral counseling
  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI Clearance
  • TB Screening
  • Education Documentation - diploma or official transcripts from graduate program
  • Professional Liability Insurance
