Role OverviewThe Mental Health Specialist (MHS) is an independent contract position working early morning hours during the school week to provide services in the home setting before school hours to help an individual transition from home to school day.
What You Will Do
Provide services in the home setting before school hours to help an individual transition from home to school day, work with school-aged students with emotional or behavioral needs, and transfer coping skills and interventions to parent/caregiver.

This role requires a Master's degree in a mental health/human service study, 6 months of work experience providing clinical therapy, and documented training in positive behavior supports and applied and cognitive behavioral counseling.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited university in a mental health/human service study
- 6 months work experience providing clinical therapy in an individual, family, or group format
- Documented training and experience in positive behavior supports, team coordination, agency collaboration, applied and cognitive behavioral counseling
- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Education FBI Clearance
- TB Screening
- Education Documentation - diploma OR official transcripts from graduate program
