Role OverviewDeliver quality psychiatric care to patients who are hospitalized with psychiatric/emotional disorders. Provide direct patient care, support the therapeutic milieu, and ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
What You Will Do
Serve as a role model, orient patients, take admission vital signs, escort patients, participate in maintaining the therapeutic milieu, assist with restraint, and assist patients with activities of daily living.

Requirements
- 18 years or older
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 2 years of previous experience as a mental health technician
- High school level reading and writing skills
- Acceptable oral and written communication skills
- Legible handwriting
- Ability to maintain information as highly confidential
- Telephone etiquette and customer service skills
- Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology
- Basic knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology
- Problem-solving skills
- Use of appropriate social skills, including demonstration and respect for staff and patients
- Empathy toward patients
