Role Overview

As a Mental Health Worker Inpatient, you will assist licensed nursing staff in providing and documenting patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living. You will support the unit functions and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and co-workers. You will function as an integral part of the interdisciplinary care team and communicate pertinent patient information to the supervising RN.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting with activities of daily living, performing clerical duties as assigned, and providing basic nursing care for adult and geriatric patients. You will also perform responsibilities within the guidelines of the Nursing Structure Standards, Hospital/Nursing Policy, and state regulatory and accrediting requirements.

Why It Might Be a Fit

To be a fit for this role, you will need to have a current and valid license as a Certified Nursing Assistant issued by the State, or a minimum of one year experience working as a Mental Health Worker in a hospital setting. You will also need to have BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current. Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology is preferred.
