Job Description
Role Overview

The MEP Construction Project Engineer will work with a field construction organization in a general or single discipline position. The engineer will assist in overseeing activities of construction crafts/trades within an assigned area of responsibility. The engineer will receive continual supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibility.

What You Will Do

The engineer will assist with the planning and coordination of sub-contractor activities within the area of responsibility. The engineer will monitor subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence with project plans and promotes quality control of all installations. The engineer will enforce policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by Field Management.

The engineer will ensure safety standards and requirements are adhered to by crafts/trades, laborers, and others when in the assigned operational area. The engineer will prepare reports, as required, and keep supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Plumbing, Building Technology, or similar major
  • Desire to work and learn in an MEP environment (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)
  • Experience in interiors construction, renovation, and retrofitting in commercial construction
  • Mechanical experience and MEP highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Prior Internship experience within the construction industry
  • Experience working on a live construction site
  • Able to follow directions and interact with all levels of management on a working construction project
  • Experience engaging with multiple trades on a construction project
