Job Description
LiquidPiston, Inc. is seeking a talented Engineer to join their R&D team, focusing on additive manufacturing design and modeling. The role involves transforming rotary engine designs through advanced computational methods and manufacturing technologies, working in a fast-paced development environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing the performance and efficiency of engine components using topology optimization and additive manufacturing.

Requirements

  • BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in product design, simulation, and/or manufacturing
  • Expertise in additive manufacturing methods (e.g., DMLS, SLS, Binder Jetting, etc.)
  • Proficiency in topology optimization tools (nTop preferred) and solid 3D CAD skills
  • Simulation experience with ANSYS or similar FEA/thermal software
  • Deep understanding of materials science, especially metallurgy for AM
