Job Description
Role Overview

Design, analyze, and test complex moving mechanical assemblies for spacecraft, missile systems, and air platforms. Oversee hardware development from conceptual design through manufacturing, environmental testing, and final flight qualification.

What You Will Do

Perform kinematic, structural, and thermal modeling to ensure mechanism performance and reliability in demanding aerospace environments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanisms into vehicle architectures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and development of mechanisms for spacecraft, missile systems, or air platforms.
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and testing flight-critical mechanical assemblies, including actuators, hinges, latching devices, and deployment or separation mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in kinematic, stress, and thermal analysis for aerospace applications.
  • Experience managing hardware development from initial concept through manufacturing, environmental testing, and flight qualification.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate mechanisms into overall vehicle architectures.
  • CAD proficiency, preferably with Siemens NX; familiarity ANSI Y14.5 (GD&T)
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds.
