Job Description

The Middle School Athletic Coordinator is responsible for the management of athletic programs within the school(s).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Sports Management, Kinesiology, from an accredited College or University or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous athletic program coordination or coaching experience at the K-12, collegiate, or community level is required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule outside of regular business hours is required.
  • Possession of a valid NYSPHSAA coaching certification, First Aid, CPR, and AED certification, or willingness to obtain certification through required training upon hire.
  • Experience working directly with students, in the charter, private, or public school environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience working in schools and urban communities is preferred.
  • Aptitude to create and work within an inclusive environment that honors and supports a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives.
