Role OverviewDr. Richard Izquierdo Health & Science Charter School is seeking a certified and experienced English New Language Arts teacher to provide instruction to middle school students. The teacher will work collaboratively with other teachers within their department and across other content areas.
What You Will Do
The teacher will develop lesson plans, integrate technology, and use various instructional strategies to differentiate learning for all students. They will also assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain a professional demeanor.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and English, have at least 2 years of prior teaching experience in middle school with ENL students, and demonstrate success working in an urban school setting.
Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- NYS certification ENL preferred
- At least 2 years prior teaching experience in middle school with ENL students preferred
- Demonstrate success working in an urban school setting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with educational technology
Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 - $105,000 annually (Based on Experience)
- Travel: Minimum to no travel required
