Job Description
St. Athanasius School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered full-time Resource Teacher to support middle school students in grades 5–8. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that all students are supported academically, socially, and emotionally in alignment with our mission to love, learn, and lead.

Requirements

  • Manage a caseload of students with Student Support Plans (SSPs) and Student Accommodation Plans (SAPs)
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized student plans
  • Provide direct academic support to students in grades 5–8, both in small groups and individually
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiated instruction and student success
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and support strategies
  • Serve as a liaison to area high schools, supporting families through the 8th-grade application and transition process
  • Coordinate documentation and ensure compliance with school and (if applicable) diocesan guidelines
  • Participate in student support meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment
