Role Overview

The Middle School Coach is responsible for developing, initiating, and administering the soccer program for the 2026-2027 school year. The coach will work closely with the athletic director and school leaders to fulfill Christ's mission and canonical obligations. The coach will be responsible for scheduling practices and games, verifying student eligibility, and ensuring the physical condition and fitness of participants.

What You Will Do

The Middle School Coach will conduct practice sessions and games, schedule practices and games, verify student eligibility, and ensure the physical condition and fitness of participants. The coach will also teach essential safety skills and strategies to student athletes, monitor safety compliance, and follow school and diocesan policies.

The ideal candidate will have previous coaching and/or playing experience, knowledge of adolescent physical development and sport skills and regulations, and expertise in the fundamentals of the sport. Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • Current CPR certification and first aid training
  • Previous coaching and/or playing experience
  • Knowledge of adolescent physical development and sport skills and regulations
  • Expertise in the fundamentals of the sport
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours
  • Ability to work well with others in the school community
