The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Logistics, or a related field, and 3+ years of experience in HAZMAT handling or environmental compliance.

Requirements

  • Maintains and reviews compliance records to ensure hazardous material operations meet federal and international legal standards
  • Draft contract clauses and technical specifications for the procurement of HAZMAT storage and transportation services
  • Prepare routine reports for management regarding regulatory updates and potential compliance vulnerabilities
  • Coordinates with theater logistics partners to ensure all HAZMAT shipments are documented in accordance with the status of forces agreements (SOFA) and local environmental laws
  • Assist in the legal review of subcontracting agreements to ensure proper flow-down of safety and environmental requirements
  • Monitor regional logistical data to identify trends and ensure persistent compliance during surges in cargo movement
