Role OverviewThe Millwright is responsible for inspecting, repairing, replacing, installing, adjusting, and maintaining all mechanical equipment in the plant. They work alone or direct helpers and other workmen as required. The Millwright receives instructions for scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work.
What You Will Do
The Millwright's main responsibilities include inspecting plant equipment for defects, determining the best way to make repairs, dismantling, cleaning, repairing, replacing, installing, maintaining, assembling, and lubricating mechanical equipment, and performing pipe maintenance work.
Why It Might Be a Fit
To be a successful Millwright, you should have a journeyman card, be able to work independently, and have strong mechanical skills. You should also be able to interpret drawings and make rough sketches as directed.
