Job Description
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely and effective implementation of all company policies, procedures, and activities involved in assuring the quality of manufactured products. He/she maintains close working relationships with other department managers and supervisory personnel to meet and maintain product quality, identify, solve, and prevent problems affecting product quality, maximize productivity, and comply with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in food safety/quality in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
  • SQF Practitioner (SQFI) certification, HACCP certification, and Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) preferred.
  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of SQF Code, HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, and food safety regulations;
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with national brand retailers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate nonstandard work hours as necessary.
