2026 ESY MIPA Teacher Elementary


MIPA TEACHER AT INNOVATION ELEMENTARY SCHOOL  


Summer School Dates: July 6, 2026 through July 31, 2026 


Important Note: Professional Days and Orientation: July 1st and 2nd 


Qualifications:



  • Must hold a valid license (or provisional license) in special education

  • Knowledge of best practices and experience teaching students with autism spectrum disorders

  • Knowledge of the academic, social, and emotional needs of students with autism spectrum disorders


Experience:



  • Teaching students with autism spectrum disorders

  • Working with a variety of ability /grade levels (classes are multi-graded)


Responsibilities Include:



  • Plan, organize and implement appropriate instruction in the areas of motor skills, language, self-help skills, and personal independence

  • Adapt instruction, assignments and curriculum depending on the needs of the students

  • Collect data on student critical life skill goals

  • Provide accommodations and modifications for students as needed

  • Working collaboratively with school staff, student services staff, and families

  • Plan and organize activities to be carried out by an assistant if assigned
