Role OverviewThe Missing Children Specialist will be responsible for facilitating training on policies and administrative directives on youth that go missing, reviewing and processing MCOU AWOC referrals, and working directly with provider agencies to provide direct support to case planners on TA and best practice involving AWOC youth. The Specialist will work closely with Investigative Consultants in recovering youth that are AWOC, and participate in family team conferences for when youth return from AWOC. The Specialist will also participate in high-risk AWOC cases involving Law Enforcement, FBI, NCEMC and cross-jurisdictions to recover missing and trafficked youth.

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Missing Children Specialist will include facilitating training, reviewing and processing referrals, working with provider agencies, and participating in high-risk cases. The Specialist will also work closely with other units to recover missing and trafficked youth.

Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
- English language proficiency
- One year of satisfactory child welfare casework experience
