ML Scientist - Adversarial Robustness

As an ML Scientist at Mercor, you will be responsible for training image classifiers and generative image models from scratch, fine-tuning open-weight language models, and enhancing model robustness to adversarial inputs and conversations.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include training models with limited data, compute, and model-size budgets, compressing models to meet size and latency constraints without losing accuracy, and diagnosing and resolving training issues effectively.

Why It Might Be a Fit

To be a fit for this role, you will need to have 3+ years of machine learning research experience, strong experience with PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, or similar ML frameworks, and a degree from a top-100 university or equivalent research track record through publications or impactful open-source contributions.
