Role Overview

This position works as part of a team and approaches work with people from a trauma-informed, strength-based, perspective. The Mobile Counselor III partners with Project Respond's Crisis team to provide follow-up bridge services to transitional age youth who have had a mental health emergency in Multnomah County.

What You Will Do

Complete a service plan through collaboration with the youth and families for each youth referred to the Family Crisis Stabilization Specialist team. Conduct a Mental Status assessment and formulate a diagnosis according to the most current DSM. Identify and assess risk factors for harm to self or others in the context of the client's current psycho-social context.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working with children, adolescents, and families providing a broad range of clinical intervention and completing mental health assessments. They will also have advanced knowledge of risk assessment and crisis intervention, and understand evidence-based practices and strength-based case management philosophies.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a behavioral science field from an accredited college or university
  • Demonstrate the competencies as outlined in the Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR) to become credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)
  • At least one year of experience working with children, adolescents, and families providing a broad range of clinical intervention and completing mental health assessments
  • Valid driver's license, three-year driving history, clean driving record, and ability to pass Driver Motor Vehicle (DMV) check
